This one was too dark, too different from the others when I put them on the wall together today. It's still different, layers, lots of layering. And the drips I just let them go. Tomorrow I paint for 4 hours. I am locking myself in my room!
The flat graphic color also had to come into play, so I lightened the background behind my girl friend to a pale blue, and washed the rest of the painting with a buff white. It still screams emotions. More so than any other I have done in the past five years.
I signed up for an Independent study at Delta College. I will be painting the figure in a class room setting twice a week.. Nice teacher...I am looking forward to it. Have not been on the other end of a class since 1998. Yikes, where does the time go?
